Junge Control's E-SWAP is the conversion of ribbon cable to ethernet cable. This will update the connection between your computer and your Junge Control Panels. Depending on which E-SWAP option your company chooses, you may only be able to hook up your control panel to one computer or nearly any laptop or desktop computer. The communication speed between the computer and the control panel will differ depending on which E-SWAP option is chosen, too. Compatibility with new computer programs, such as Vista, will vary with each option.

The Limited Series E-SWAP option is the best choice for those companies looking to be current with technology and who want the fastest communication available between control panel and computer. This option uses NEW technology to convert to ethernet. New internal parts will be inserted into your existing control panel which add to the longevity of the panel. This option is compatible with new computer programs, such as Vista. |

The Select Series E-SWAP option uses OLD serial technology to convert to ethernet. Parts are added to the control panel for the conversion. This option has the slowest communication between control panel and computer. It is compatible with new computer programs such as, Vista. If there are communication problems with your control panel, there is more trouble shooting needed with Select Series E-SWAP than with Limited Series E-SWAP. |

With the Basic E-SWAP option, you keep the ribbon, but use a different card. Your company must order a "special" computer from Junge Control when it wants to upgrade to a new computer. A computer cannot be bought from a general retailer, etc. as the computer must have special parts that are not on store bought computers. This is a short term solution as we do not know how long we will be able to order "special" computers if your original computer breaks down. Computer programs like, Vista, are not compatible with this option. Communication between the computer and control panel is slower than with Limited Series E-SWAP, but faster than with Select Series E-SWAP. |
